Opryland USA Old Nashville Shirt
Opryland USA Old Nashville Shirt
Back in the early 70's, Nashville saw the opening of the Opryland USA theme park. With the nickname "Home of American Music", Opryland USA was a major hit, attracting over two and a half million visitors every year. Operating seasonally, it was known for hosting big music events and offering classic amusement park rides and roller coasters. Over its 25-year run, Opryland saw ownership changes and numerous upgrades before closing in 1997. By 1998, it was demolished and all that's really left is a parking lot for the Opryland Hotel. Sad day for Tennessee.
The text of this design comes from an old Opryland souvenir cup. It features drawings of Opryland's beloved characters: Yancey Banjo, Johnny Guitar, Delilah Dulcimer, Barney Bass, and Frankie Fiddle—Opryland's version of Disney characters. Make this shirt your next souvenir!
