Lassen Peak, as we call it today, is the showpiece of Lassen Volcano National Park. A very serene and peaceful park to hike and fish is anything but underneath the ground. This is still a very much active volcano, having erupted 300 times in the early 20th century. This retro T shirt is as hot as the park!
Today active thermal areas like Sulphur Works and Bumpass Hell can be seen with their stunning mudpots and gases spewing from the depths. The park is home to all four types of volcanoes found on Earth: plug dome (Lassen Peak), shield (Prospect Peak), cinder cone (Cinder Cone), and composite (Brokeoff Volcano).
