Isle Royale National Park Shirt

Isle Royale National Park is located in the northwest corner of Lake Superior, making it the most remote park in the lower 48, and is reachable only by boat or seaplane. It's so far north that it is a wonder the Canadians didn't claim it as their own. Here's a vintage T shirt to celebrate this unique and remote island park.

The park requires adventurous types since hiking, kayaking, and canoeing are the only means of travel. There are no roads out here. The 45-mile long island is forested with conifer, birch, aspen, and cedar, and is home to a some astonishing wildlife like timber wolves and moose. The Greenstone Ridge Trail runs the entire length of the island, providing a challenging hiking experience. The park is also home to several lighthouses, including the Rock Harbor Lighthouse. If you would rather stay off the island then check out the many shipwrecks, such as the S.S. America, that ring the park and form an underwater museum for scuba divers.
