Akron 1965 Flag Shirt

Are you into vexillology? If so then you should enjoy this design. This is the old flag for the city of Akron Ohio, designed in the 1960's and used until the 1990's, when it was updated.

Sam Scherr, an industrial designer, whipped up this cool flag for Akron back in August 1965. The small triangles stand for the 10 wards but also growth. The tree like shape with the arrows in the middle is meant as symbolism for life and expansion. It's said to be a rubber tree. The A's in the center, well, you can probably guess what those stand for.
